Race reports 2007 - Sundsvall Raceway - June 16

The team went to Sundsvall Raceway to test a new chassis and body purchased from Martin Lundkvist, who stepped out of Funny Car racing last year:
The engine didn't sound all well warming up for the first run of Saturday, and a 6.567 @ 343 km/h confirmed it didn't operate at full power. Some adjustments were made to the fuel system and the ignition timing, still not giving all the right result, it was a bit faster: 6.236 @ 352 km/h. But still not all right. Some ignition parts was replaced since the data logger indicated dropped cylinders.
It made all the difference, the engine got the right sound again.

Unfortunately the third run of the day was halted in a harsh way when an oil leak sprayed the right rear tire, making the car loose traction on that side right after starting, sending Kjell sideways at 50 meters dodging for the right concrete wall and wrecking the front and right side of the car!
Thanks to the safety gear in these cars, Kjell was OK and walked from the crash, that's our main concern.
The car will need more repair than what can be done on the track, So even if Kjell wanted some revenge, going back behind the wheel again, he knew it would not be possible this weekend.
