Sunday elimination started without rain soaking the track, would the traction
from Saturday evening stay on? Kjell who qualified #6 was facing #3 Dan Larsen in
the first round, it's not the first time they are racing each other. Will Dan hold
his performance level or maybe run into tire shakes...
Dan left the line first and pulled away slightly half ways, but an upset could
turn the table. Unfortunatley for Kjell the upset came on him, when a fastener
for the throttle cable broke and caused an undesired throttle lift, sending
Kjell coasting down the track not able to keep the hammer down, running 6.693 @ 253.16 km/h
Dan Larsen went on to the semi finals with a 6.029. Also in the semi is Ulf
Leanders, Freddy Fagerström and Leif Andreasson. Leif and Freddy went to the
final where Leif Andreasson scored a win to get a hold on Fast Freddy in the
points standings.
