FIA TM/FC

Federation International d' Automobile (FIA) is the organization behind the European Dragracing Championship. They are also running e.g. the Formula One and the World Rally Championship.
Top Methanol Funny Cars (TMFC) is one of the 4 automobile classes in the European Championship. The other 3 are: Top Fuel (TF), Top Methanol Dragster (TMD) and Pro Stock (PRO). A fifth class is coming soon, the Pro Modified (PM).

Until 1997 the Methanol Funny Cars and Dragsters were run together as one class , when they were split into TMFC and TMD for the purpose of proper competitive level. Dragster got better stability and weight distribution with their more than twice as long chassis and fore that reason by default 0.2 - 0.3 seconds faster than the more wildly reacting Funny Cars

The competitive level has been raised substansially in the European TMFC class from it's start 1998, since there are more teams involved, not only participating in the field, but also fighting at the top to win races and scoring new European record times and speeds.

The FIA Championship races are run at tracks in and outside Europe, starting with Bahrain in March moving on to England, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Germany and the season finals in England.

Kjell Sjöblom and his Pritona Racing Team started in the TMFC class 2005 and has been improving strongly during the 2006, finishing 4:th in the championship and aiming at even stronger results for the 2007 season.
